Ridiculous

I already had very low expectations for this, and I have to say, it wasn't better than I expected. There wasn't any good parts at all, the only one that'd get near being good was psychicpebble, however, it was OBVIOUS that the art was completely traced. After that, all parts were bad. I can tell you just didn't turn down any parts that appeared unless they were EXTEMELY bad. I can also tell you co-authored people judging on how many parts they made and not the quality.
You could actually provide a good looking part before you start a collab. Your part was boring and badly animated, I mean, animated with merely a bunch of tweens, so it'd be hard for you to turn down a bad part when your parts isn't good.

Sowy...

Hmm... meh...

The flash isn't the kind of animation somebody would get all over it shouting "what the hell!? greatest work ever!" It is a smart animation. That's the proper adjetive to it: Smart.
It has a preety original concept, it's exactly the kind of things that regularly make me laugh, just like this did. The animation was a bit lazy, dare I say primitive, but yet still interesting, specially near the ending. Your acsent is somewhat funny and you made a good job on the voice acting, however, near the begining, there was an annoying sound that truly shows you didn't pay to much attention to the audio. HUGE mistake if you were aiming for the highest quality possible within the time you had making this.
Within the animation, the only thing that was eye catchy was the black hole effect. Besides from that, you relied TOO MUCH on tweening and too little into putting all you have into it. It is still a worth watching submission, just that.

Wonchop responds:

It was my first time animating in After Effects, and we only had been taught a few techniques before having to make this. I honestly don't see how the graphic style would work without tweens though.

Meh...

It's funny and I dig the concept of "Short", however, it seem like you are using the description "Short" as a way to tell everyone not to complain over you being plain out lazy. Besides, the character drawings were rudimentary at best and the animation had a lot of flaws, lack of in betweens and overall lack of movement.

To my opinion, you just raped the concept of "short" modelling it into an abrebiation of "I'm too lazy". You should probably go on youtube and search for animation short and see what I'm talking about, because if the animation was at least better, it would be enjoyable, however, you didn't put any work at all in the animation or the overall concept.

fluffkomix responds:

yes i'm lazy. i never denied it, but this animation wasn't about me biting off more then i can chew and then chickening out, this animation was just a small joke i wanted to share.

i never planned on it being more then 5 seconds anyways. consider the extra second a bonus.

there were inbetweens in the first time he moved his arm, and i was gonna add a bunch in the second time but i liked how it looked. i wasn't being lazy at that time i just liked how it looked without inbetweens.

maybe to warn people i could call it short short?

Oh my!

Some great art in there, and the fact that you're 14 is preety impressive, everyone did an amazing job in there. I could see you got the other one you submited blammed, but it is good that you got permission from the authors, since it really looks like you took your time to put everything together!
What I noticed and almost slipped past through my eye was that your part had some weird anatomy, specially in the arms, it kinda looked like you didn't take your time to make a sketch and look at it wisely with a critic eye for noticing what's right and what's wrong in there. For example, your right arm looks a bit... messed up, the the joint in there looks to close to the shoulder, which messes it up completely. Else than that, you made an incredible job, but you might want to use the line tool to make a "skeleton" on another layer so you can measure everything. The music could have a little twitch, it is too slow, when the idea of a bunch of tough, muscle guys sounds like something a bit more... I don't know, frenetic. Great job anyways, and the truth is, Mr. Swain's drawing of Luis made me jump back a bit.

I love your art collabs, keep em up!

JKAmovies responds:

wow, thanks a lot man. I enjoyed reading your review and thank you.

I'm still learning how to get people looking right. That piece of art was one of my older work but one of my personal faves, I've always noticed the right arm was too short and the left was too big. I'll try the line tool skeleton trick :P

Thanks~JKAmovies

Cool...

I liked it overall. It was fun and made me crack smiles every so often. The sound quality was preety good, even though it had these hightly pitched noises at times. Also, the voice acting could've been a bit more emotive, it seemed like as if the characters were too expresionless.
The graphics were nice, however, you might want to put a whole lot of effort to the animation, specially into trying to use less motion tweens and more frame by frame. I know it's way harder, but it makes the movie a lot better.
The sense of humour is probably the best part in the movie. The "Darkan's head" concept was awesome, I really laughed preety loud when he said "It's annoying that you guys get in here all the time without asking!".

You might want to dub your movies to english too, as a lot of people who don't know spanish will pass of it, and it is definetly a good movie. Oh, and what was that song at the begining, the rock and roll titanic one? T'was AWESOME!!!

Darkar responds:

My heart will go on, punk version by New Found Glory. :)

WHA...?!

Why is it there are many Crotch kick collab parts, lol...

I'm crying...

But I'm not sure if I'm happy, sad or playing the piano. The animation was urggg so incredible, you really are an incredible artist, and I really admire your animation and your... psicotic... sense of humour. The idea has to be one of the best ideas to hit the Portal for some time. I really don't know what the hell is wrong with you, but whatever it is, don't change it.
I loved the singing and how you gave it the whole saturday morning cartoon style (The whole idea of the movie) with the references to shows like Scooby Doo. I thank you for making this, it was like a 1:24 orgasm, even though at the same time I was in pain because I am a huge fan of the Watchmen comics. Maybe the mixture of pain and happiness is what makes thiss so tasty, as I really don't know what face to wear when I watch this, I have already watched it around seven times, and I am still not sure. Then again, thank you for making such masterpiece, which compared to your other movies may be not all so over-average, but on itself, it is pure gold.

I love you.

lol, hilarous!

I loved the "Foster child" one, most of them were fun and some had some impresingly good graphics, unluckly, the animation was mostly made out with tweens, but leaving the rudimentary animation behind, I liked it!

Great!

The whole demo reel was truly awesome, I liked it, unluckly, some moments showed animation that looked very old, as it was made of motion tweens, instead, some other parts looked amazing, with amazing animation and damn good graphics. Also, I liked how you showed some rough animation sketches, since it is something directors want to see when planing on hiring somebody, as it allows them to know that you preety much organize everything when you animate. I'd also recommend you to show different styles of animation if you can, like traditional animation and, if you can, 3D is something directors are always willing to add in a movie or whatever they may hire you for.

Good Luck!

BurningBunnies responds:

Thanks a lot for this great review. Yeah I admit there's a few things in there I made as far back as 3 years ago. I'm applying to University to try and expand on everything I've learnt and to dive into the world of 3D animation. I'll continue to work hard to try and land a job at the end of it all.

Zyphonee, thank you.

Now I want a pet Narwhal!

I really liked it, they drawings for the narwhals were trully funny, they were cartoony, but at the same time, really detailed. The music was truly catchy, and now I'm afraid of taking a bus because I'm sure I'd start singing. I liked how smooth the loop was, but there was a little moment in which it kind of sounded a bit rough, but still, preety damn awesome, and I loved the to be able to watch it in full screen. Still, the animation could've been a bit improved with some more time, but it doesn't keep the movie from being awesome!

I am the son and heir of a shyness that is criminally vulgar.
