Disappointing at best.

I am questioning my sanity right now, I cannot believe I bared through the whole flash.
To begin with, you really need to work on your composition, there is no real drama set up for this, and it all feels like the events are either rushed, or some scenes were just there to make it barely longer, either way, it all feels anticlimactic and boring, however, this is something I could totally overlook, but jesus christ is the animation horrible...

You have what's probably the most choppy, unbalanced and ill-formed foreshortening and graphic development I've seen in a long while, or possibly ever in my short life. I never take the words "best", "worst" or "ever" lightly at all when reviewing something, and I think no one who uses them should be able to have the privilege to call themselves a critic, but I feel like a devilish hand just ripped them off my chest and plastered them onto this text box.
In one word, the motion animation was just...repulsive, but I could also go in-depth which only makes me feel worse. Not knowing your limitations is what pretty much ruins this and any other movie, if you can't tinker around with perspective and frame by frame, don't do it. Rule number one of B.A.S.E. jumping, my friend, you may be good, but you can't be good enough to jump without a parachute, and if you do it you'll look like an idiot, a dead idiot, that's why you don't do it. However, you keep trying to switch angles on FXF while you lack the anatomy, perspective and foreshortening skills to do it, so it ends up looking ill-consistent and just ugly. Lack of skill can be cause for it, but it also looks like all you've done for motion animation is rotoscope action anime shows, some of them which already rotoscope martial arts films (e.g. Nahreewtow fight scenes), and you're not even doing it right, so it all looses realism. However, you might not be rotoscoping and only be taking reference from those shows so I won't waste precious bits of data on in-depth and click "Submit Review!"

Hulalaoo responds:

xD, faggot, in what moment i use roroscocope ? you are only a poor guy who likes to see animals drawn in sex scenes, with 14 year-old ?You should look for real women and not animal porn
You are a the greatest piece of pile of shit ever, homosexual travestite ,
son of a big and fat bitch, Your mother should have aborted, shit like you should not be live, great asshole,CUNT !!!

Had it's moments, but was extremely disappointing.

To begin with, I never really had high expectations with this film, but even so, I though it might have some good content, so I tried watching it from a merely neutral point of view, and even so I didn't like it, because of three main reasons, the first one is that the joke is really wearing thin, it's 2010 and in the last about 12 years, the staff has been burnt, killed, shot, raped, taped in their sexual acts, received many innuendos for Jeff and Stamper being lovers (subject still not in closure), portrayed in Christmas photos, etc. etc. and this film really doesn't add to the variety.
The second reason is how the movie was animated, art was really annoying, and the way you did whatever little FBF there was (except for the zombie metamorphosis, which I liked) looked really bad, for example, the lip sync only complemented the art in bad quality, and the last scene, the one with Tom banging April was probably the worst, his torso was just being redrawn, barely changing position or perspective, while the arms tweened.

The parts I liked, and are one of the main reasons I'm giving you a 3 instead of nothing, are the zombie transformations, those parts looked like some sort of experimental/indie cartoon, or something straight from Beavis and Butthead. The other thing why I didn't totally HATE this movie was because I can easily tell that you were pretentious with it, which is a really good thing. Some angles would've been much easier if you had done from a different perspective, and yet still, you didn't. I honestly don't know if it was just that you didn't realize about it, or you were really passionate about it, but I'll go with the later.

Finally, and completely irrelevant to the movie and the score I am giving it, I'd say you could try and be a little bit less obnoxious with how you are replying to review.

darthnebula responds:

wait you said being pretentious is a good thing ? wtf ? actually this is just a homage to newgrounds, I havn't made anything in years and thought id do somthing about newgrounds itself, im still learning and find it funny people expect so much from my movie, I did work hard on it and learnt a lot during the process so hopefully my next movie is way better

Seems like it has an awesome load of potential...

Like I said, the series really seem like they have a lot of potential for becoming great cartoons sometime in the future, the style has that old school vibe to it, and the presentation seems really professional, in fact, it really seems like the kind of thing you'd see as the typical animated short you see on commercials on big TV industries, or it would be, if it wasn't for the only flaw this flash had, and that was the animation. Frankly, it was a bit disappointing, the tweens really took away all the motion in the actions. If the animation has a bit more of an approach to frame by framing, the finishing sequence, the part with Leno kicking Conan would've looked way better and been funnier (due to the fact that in the movie, it really lacks the motion that gives it the old WB cartoon feeling)

Then again, those are just simple aesthetic demands that could be overlooked because of how short and professionally put together the movie is, but it does take something away from the it.

Please keep doing these, they seem like the kind of stuff you'd find in a series page, and I'd love to see this become one!

celebribaby responds:

y'know- you're absolutely right. and I'm one who loves FxF animation... unfortunately the nature of these toons (and me being the only one of us that's super proficient in flash) creates a need for them to be done in a timely fashion. Because we're trying to create something that is dependent on the subject matter being relevant. But, hopefully I'll get faster and maybe get another person to help out with some of the "tweening" and I can throw in a few exaggerated FxF pieces.

thanks for watching.

UGH...

Sorry pal, I hate to say it, but this is pretty bad. Yes, I am reviewing based on the submission's score, because quite honestly, if it wasn't because of it, I couldn't really tell if this was just a really stupid and empty meme compilation or a spam submission.

On your response to FalconPuuunch or however that guy is called, you seriously shouldn't think that your submission is of any value because of people posting retarded reviews out of sheer stupidity of the Newgrounds average user. Memes pretty much stop being funny around the second time they are used. I hate to be an ass, but seriously, stop pretending like your movie is the shit just because some morons who know shit about animation like it because it has overused and unfunny crap everyone spews in the average #chan thread.

Bottom line; Stop thinking your "HURR MEMES LOLOLO RANDUM XDD" is going to be found amusing by anyone.

Good while it lasted

I find it funny, not the idea, but the execution. The voice acting is hilarious in an, I assume, accidental way, which sets up the mood for the "shock laugh sausagefest", which is, in fact, a festival of the shock laugh, specially with the guys rubbing his nipples. What's up with that?

Voodoo responds:

I tried to voice act to the best of my ability, the result wasn't as bad as I expected

As for the nipples, those kind of jokes just get my rocks off

I wish there was more stuff like this!

This is completely nonsensical, but it's still amazing, it has seriously become one of my favorite animations on NG, as the overall presentation is truly flawless; the colors are beautiful, I don't think I've ever seen an animation with a prettier style than this, and it also has some really intense frame by frame.

Probably my favorite part is when they walk through the forest, as the lightning is just perfect, and the color, again, proof to be great. I know I'm really nailing the colors thing, but I can barely finish saying how much I like them, seriously dude, keep this up!

MichaFrario responds:

:'] aw that's so kind <3 thank you!
they actually walk through a cave, by the way, not a forest :P

Graphical violence is funny, but...

...there's always a "but"!

You're making nice looking stuff lately, your FBF stuff is looking nice and it's all lots more polished and overall, better, although you're experimenting with new perspectives and stuff, you really should of practice a bit more on human anatomies and perspective on it (in spanish, it's called "escorso" but I don't know how it goes in english), as some od the FBF turns out to be very inconsistent from time to time.

The timing and storytelling something you should work on too, as the whole setup of "hey, let's go to the beach" "ok" "everyone ready" "yes" is extremely artificial, and could've used a bit more of overacting. Still, the ending made me laugh, but if you're gonna make something so HappyHaryish, you gotta make sure it's much more graphical, the guys head sliced in two is good, but you should make cephalic matter come out of his ears, and bit's of brains scrambles around, go crazy dude, it's supposed to be!

fluffkomix responds:

more graphical is a good idea. i might update the fla when i get home

I really liked it, but the animation is kinda aged

This is Weird Al, which already deserves an 8, just for being so fucking great. Now, the overall composition of the animation is overall well driven and the drawings are nice and polished. Now I don't preside the tween fan club, but I think you made a really good balance between tweens and FBF, although the arm swinging annoyed me a lot and looked really artificial.
Whatever, it's still Weird Al!

pyropymp responds:

I agree. This was circa 2006 after all. My skills have improved a lot more since then. Watch "Star Wars Gangsta Rap: Chronicles" and see for yourself! ;)

Whatever just happened, I chuckled

For some reason, this flash led me to fourteen seconds of uncomfortable silence followed by ten seconds of even more uncomfortable laughter, I doubt I got the full message/comedy to the flash, but either way, I liked it, and art and animation, although I didn't like the character's hair in some points of perspective.

Good as always anyways, keep that shit up.

Gate-keeper-girl responds:

Which character?

Yeah, his hair is kinda fucked up.

lmao haha!

I can't believe how much this made me laugh, senseless and funny as hell... well what about... propane powered propane, huh?!

DrSevenSeizeMD responds:

and that's all we were trying to do. Thank you for the review. :-)

I am the son and heir of a shyness that is criminally vulgar.
