An interesting project

I'll be as brief as possible in this, still hoping you read this because the game has a few main design flaws that seem to have corrupted it.
- When trying to implement momentum, you must not be hitting any of the movement keys and your character will not warp.
- Momentum works in every direction. Running fast in an horizontal plane still carries dynamic energy, which could've been used. Falling in high speed still carries a lot of propulsion from G forces, thus, it sounds like it would be a lot of fun to see some levels that allow you to use this feature.

Finally, I might add that in physics, the instance that carries the most momentum is when your feet have just elevated above the ground, not when you're at the highest point in the jump.

Please, do keep making games like this one, I really enjoy seeing puzzle games based on Portal-ish concepts like this one.

Avg. 9, damn straight, homeboy.

A not so good idea, though really well done.

The game, like I said, is a fair idea extremely well executed. There's one big problem with this game, and that is that it's the type of game that tries to get the player to keep playing by offering a big selection of options and unlockables, however, it's a casino-like game. Casino games aren't really the type of game that a regular player spends a lot of time in. This is pretty much caused because of a few reasons; one of them is the fact that the only way to play the game without completely relying on luck (Which will have you losing all the time) is having to constantly manage the amount of money you carry before you place every bet, which slows down the pace of the game a lot; other reason is the fact that the player has little to no actual influence of the different playable games, so there isn't really any other challenge at all, and the game becomes really frustrating. Finally, the fact that it's a casino simulator is already a big invitation to go home and take the money you've made as soon as you begin losing.

The game's execution is what I particularly liked. The tender graphics Nathaniel made are extremely stylish and, at the same time, mature, making a great complement to the game. The music was also a joyful, though repetitive tune.

Finally, the game has a few interface issues. The stocks window takes up most of the screen and disables movement totally, and in order to start up a game, the player has to use the mouse to indicate the money to bet and then lick to start, when it'd be much more practical to be able to just type in the money automatically and press Enter to start.

You guys did a nice job, but lacked depth...

To be perfectly honest, that was refreshing, and had a nice ring to it, but I believe it should've had a bit more in depth introducing the characters, as it was a bit confusing to know exactly to what extent my character was dependent of her, and how much he didn't enjoy being so. Maybe that way it would be a bit more en role and give a lot more liberty to the player to actually decide which ending he is the happiest with, because I just wanted my character to drown in a river for being such a whiner.

Still very amusing though, I enjoyed it throughly and had a pretty interesting way to be driven. It's so subtle you really don't realize which path you REALLY want to take until the game is almost over.

A fantastic, sabtastic sketchbook.

This is really good, the interface is friendly, and the artwork shows some great talent, effort and (some of them) sense of humor.
The overall display and presentation is beautiful, the background image goes well with the theme, and the subtle music is enjoyable too. The fact that you have to manually loop the music and lack of links are a bit of an annoyance, but then again, those are technical issues that I don't think you're to blame for, as programming obviously isn't what you're focusing on.

Most of the art is great, and I must say you have a truly pretty style for both digital and traditional art. None of the pictures displayed show any signs of rushing, and they all seem to have good amount of effort, even the ones that are clearly just quickies, although some pieces really standed out more than others, but all of them are eye catchy.

Rorschach (you misspelled it, Herrmann would be sad): I like the dark shading that matches the vibe of the comic, and it has a good range of gray. The background seems kinda confusing though, it is hard to tell what it is, although it sort of looks like a dock. Either way, it looks like the railing should be facing the other way

Dr. Manhattan: Now this one looks really nice! I like the secondary light source, and the whole 3/4 pose is well done.

Right Hand: Sketching your very own hand is an infinitely awesome technique for drawing hands later on, and this one looks great. The size of the fingers is anatomically correct and everything feels just right.

Monsters Versus Aliens: Nice as a sketch, and that's pretty much it. The motion and foreshortening is ok, but just that, specially on his legs, which look a bit weird.

Crimson Viper: I like this one, the pose and anatomy are nice, and the folds in her clothing are cool too!

Link: This is definitely one of my favorite ones. His expression just YELLS "I'll kick your ass seven times before you even realize what's going on", and the shading is awesome, specially on his hair.

Francis: I don't know if this is on purpose, but his eyes CREEP ME OUT, I think it's like the same expression I get when I realize I startled a which I hadn't seen before.

Trinit... I mean Zoey: For whatever reason, this one happens to be the one I like the least. The whole thing seems almost unrealistic, mostly because of the leg crossing going on. I don't know absolutely nothing about gun, but they look wrong, like some sort of antique pistol.

Sheva: Great foreshortening and perspective. The shading is really cool and the attention to details in her clothing is great (A friend once told me to draw tribal Sheva. Lost 46% of my hair that day. The only thing that could be impove is her face. While the nose, eyes and mouth look pretty cool, her forehead is way bigger than it should be.

Chris: Now this is just GREAT, the musculature is perfect, and so are the folds in his clothing.

Mom: Another one of my favorites, the posing is awesome, and the lighting is realistic and just beautiful. Sad dad is funny too.

Srs Dragon: Interesting, I wonder what this is abou...

Lol Dragon: LMFAO, this one is just awesome. No words to describe it.

OCs: (I wish I could be more in depth, but I'm running out of characters remaining) Frankly, they all seem a bit cliché, however, in a sort of interesting way, specially Mia and Rouge Riujo. Graphically, they are all outstanding though.

Magikarp: Funny, just that. Not amazingly good, but not even remotely bad either.

Gengar: Same as above, but the nails look a bit weirdie.

Samus; Although rough, looks really good, has a tough yet feminine vibe to it!

Quick poses: Good motion and good anatomy, also has that cartoony sort of vibe to some of them

Sabatage: Really cool, probably my favorite one. The anatomy and shading is perfect, and has a challenging look, like, "touch me and you'll be dead"

At this point, I have almost ran out of characters, so I'll just be brief:

Great job putting this together, the quality of the artwork is remarkably good, and you sure don't lack sense of humor, keep working, your stuff is awesome!

Sabtastic responds:

Hoollllyyy cowwww! D: lol

First off, thanks for taking the time and effort to actually review almost everything! It really means a lot! I'm glad that my work is decent enough to look at for more than a couple of seconds, and that it inspired you to analyze it in such minute detail! c:

Second, I really appreciate that you have pretty much nothing but good things to say about all of it, even if you were just being polite! ;D

I wish I could repay you with an equally lengthy responce, but it's almost 3am, and i've gotta be up n' adam early tomorrow morning. D:>

Thanks for such a great review!! <3

P.S: Also, epic fail at me spelling Rorschach incorrectly. D,:
I make a terrible Watchmen fan! lol

Oh wow, this is cool!

Really nice high quality audio, and cute animation style, the intro was also neat, it's nice to see you're defining your art and animation style so much, your FBF is getting better, my favourite one, in terms of animation is probably "Kitty/Mjau", although in terms of annoyance, it is by far "Squack", which makes me chuckle every time I listen to it.

HolyKonni responds:

Cool! Thank's Zyph! I like "howl" the most. :)

Nice game, mmm

Man, I wish this was remade, it's great how much you've improved since back then.

BUT EXACTLY WHAT THE FUCK DID I DO IN THE PRODUCTION OF THIS TWO LEVEL GAME? I don't get it...

HolyKonni responds:

you didn't do nothing, but i like you.

Turned out 100% awesome

Only one doubt, were my parts lost inside the endless void of time or what happened?

Great collab anyways, sucho, oh sucho, his parts were just awesome, I loved them.

JKAmovies responds:

yeah, sorry Zyphone. Things just got lost after my computer died, so I'm very sorry about that. But I'm glad you liked the collab :)

lol

Tom is a shiny star in the dance floor, isn't he?

psychicpebbles responds:

Damn straight

Ufff...

Not even chainsaw wielding killer maniacs liked the new Adam Sandler movie!

I am the son and heir of a shyness that is criminally vulgar.
